FC Bayern mourns the loss of long-time member Elmar Wepper, who's died at the age of 79. The popular Bavarian actor and dubbing artist signed up to the German record champions in October 1965 and was recently given the proud member number 180 by the club.
Wepper regularly attended Reds matches at the Allianz Arena. A few years ago, the Augsburg native also worked alongside club icons such as Uli Hoeneß and Karl-Heinz Rummenigge as well as former Bavarian Minister President Dr. Edmund Stoiber on the "Mia san treu" exhibition at the FC Bayern Museum, where a wide variety of portraits of 13 club members – whether prominent or not – conveyed one thing they had in common: their long-standing love for their beloved club.
FC Bayern's thoughts are with the family and friends of Elmar Wepper.
