FC Bayern will take part in the large-scale project 'The Return of Names' with its 'Red against Racism' initiative on Thursday. It starts from 3 p.m. across the Munich city centre and includes the 'Path of Remembrance' demonstration from Königsplatz from 5 to 6 p.m. and ends with a rally at Odeonsplatz from 6 to 8 p.m. The German record champions will be represented by president Herbert Hainer and employees, who will be among the 1,000 sponsors of victims of National Socialism to honour the memory of those people who were once deported and murdered.

In this day and age, it is important to recognise beginnings. Remembering alone is not enough, you have to be active, look ahead, fill the lessons of the past with life. This is what happens in 'Return of the Names': history becomes tangible, vivid – and more present. The aim is to raise awareness of the need to actively work for democracy."
