Veteran Thomas Müller continues to hit new milestones: in the Bundesliga match at 1. FC Heidenheim, the attacking all-rounder played his 700th competitive match in an FC Bayern shirt. Only goalkeeping legend Sepp Maier (709) has made more appearances for Munich.
The 34-year-old captained FCB in his anniversary match but would certainly have preferred a different result at full time. Müller and his teammates will have the chance to respond to the defeat in the first leg of the Champions League quarter-final at Arsenal on Tuesday. This could be the attacker's 150th appearance in the Europe’s elite club competition – the next milestone is already in sight.
