Watched by legions of fans, the FC Bayern first team began preparations for the away match at Heidenheim (Saturday, 15:30 CEST) on Tuesday morning. Hundreds of supporters came to the open session at Säbener Straße as two players made the next step towards their comeback: Aleksandar Pavlović and Raphaël Guerreiro trained with the group for the first time again.
Check out the gallery from Tuesday's session:
Pavlović, who's recovered from tonsilitis, and Guerreiro, who sustained a minor muscle strain in his left thigh in the away match at Darmstadt 98, had trained individually yesterday. Leroy Sané and Kingsley Coman trained with the team at first and then worked individually in the gym, while Noussair Mazraoui sat out due to illness.
Work first, then autographs
After the warm-up, head coach Thomas Tuchel had his players doing a drill involving ball retention and one-twos, before Thomas Müller, Jamal Musiala and Co demonstrated their skills in the rondo. The Reds picked up the pace after that with a four-v-four game with two extra players, before getting stuck into a match drill with multiple pitches and six smaller goals. All of this was under the watchful eye of the fans around the edge of the pitch, including many children who used the free time in their Easter holidays to watch their idols at work up close. At the end of the session, which lasted around an hour and a half, the players took the time for autographs and photos.
