Harry Kane is back at FC Bayern. After leading England to the European Championship final followed by a well-deserved break, the 31-year-old striker started pre-season training with the German record champions this week. "I had a great time with my family, recovered and tried to relax as much as possible. It was more mental relaxation than physical," said Kane in an interview with fcbayern.com ahead of the friendly against his former club Tottenham Hotspur.

"I feel in good shape. Everything's fine with my back. I had problems at the end of last season, but it was fine during the EURO. It hasn't bothered me since then. I've taken time to work on it a lot," explained Kane.
Kane on working under Kompany
The Bayern striker also spoke about his expectations of working with new head coach Vincent Kompany: "I've heard a lot of good things about him, not just as a coach but also as a person. I've obviously only been here a few days so far, but I love the energy he brings," said Kane, who also ventured a look ahead: "I think you'll see very intense games from us this season, which is the best approach with the players we have."
