Mathys Tel and the France U-21s came from behind to earn a 2-2 draw against Italy in Empoli. Cesare Casadei (16') and Giuseppe Ambrosino (44') handed Italy a two-goal lead before half-time, France staging a fightback in the second half. Rayan Cherki (58') pulled one back before the Olympique Lyon forward invited Valentin Atangana Edoa to level the scores (65'). Tel came on after 85 minutes. The 19-year-old Bayern forward and his team entertain the Germany U-21s in Valenciennes on Tuesday at 18:15 CET.
Germany U-20s without a chance against England
The Germany U-20s and sub Arijon Ibrahimović fell to a defeat after four victories in a row. Germany lost their second-to-last international of the year 4-0 against England. Romain Esse (31') opened the scoring and Max Dean (40') doubled the lead. Sydie Peck (56') und Will Lankshear (73') closed out the meeting after the restart. Hannes Wolf's men aim to show their true colours against Turkey in Istanbul on Tuesday at 17:00 CET.
