Paris Saint-Germain can travel to Munich for Tuesday night's Champions League match at FC Bayern (21:00 CET) with confidence. The French champions warmed up with a 3-0 win at home to 10th-placed FC Toulouse in Ligue 1 on Friday evening. João Neves opened the scoring for PSG in the 35th minute, with Lucas Beraldo (84') and Vitinha (90'+1) sealing the three points for the capital club in the closing stages.

"It was important to win this game," explained PSG coach Luis Enrique, who rotated considerably before the trip to Munich and made five changes from the away win (4-2) at SCO Angers before the international break. "It was also important to give a rest to the players who have travelled and played for their national teams," added the Spaniard. After the fifth win in a row, his team are well on course in Ligue 1 and currently lead the table with a six-point advantage over pursuers Monaco. With two wins from 12 matches in total, Paris are very well placed in the French top flight.
Goalscorer João Neves, who set his team on their way with a delightful volley, was already turning the attention towards Tuesday: "Especially the manner in which we won this evening gives us even more confidence for the coming games." While the Parisians are marching ahead in the league, they're lagging behind in the Champions League. Enrique's men are currently in 25th place with four points after four matchdays, which would not be enough for the play-offs. After beating Girona 1-0 in the opener, PSG lost 2-0 at Arsenal, drew 1-1 with PSV Eindhoven and then lost 2-1 at Atlético Madrid. Captain Marquinhos and Co and therefore under a fair amount of pressure going into the meeting with Bayern.
