FC Bayern is getting a new stadium anthem for its 125th anniversary in February. Club Nr. 12, the active fans' association, and the groups of the Südkurve planned and organised the entire project of their own initiative. The new anthem was sung on Saturday following the Bundesliga home match against Heidenheim together with star tenor Jonas Kaufmann in the Allianz Arena’s south stand.
The new stadium anthem is based on the fan chant “Immer vorwärts FC Bayern - Deutscher Meister, Münchens Stolz. In jedem Stadion wollen wir feiern, wir die Fans vom FCB. Wie seit über 100 Jahren, wird es bleiben bis zum Tod: Unser Verein, der FC Bayern, in den Farben Weiß und Rot.“
(English: Forever forward FC Bayern – champions of Germany, pride of Munich. We want to celebrate in every stadium, we the fans of FCB. As it’s been for over 100 years, it’ll remain till we die: Our club, FC Bayern, in the colours of white and red.)
The anthem is being released to mark the club's 125th anniversary and will be played as the last song before the teams walk out at Bayern's home matches in the Allianz Arena. This special ritual created by the fans is intended to create goosebump moments and involve all fans.
This unique project is being financed by the fans themselves. Anyone who would like to take part can find information here: https://suedkurve-muenchen.org/hymne/
