Nestory Irankunda to go out on loan to GC Zurich

FC Bayern's Nestory Irankunda (18) is to go out on loan to Swiss first division club GC Zurich until 30 June 2025. The Australian winger joined the German record champions from Adelaide United last summer.

Jochen Sauer, director of youth development and the Campus: "Nestory has integrated very well after his move from Australia to Europe and has repeatedly shown his great talent with our reserves. We're convinced he'll take the next sporting steps in the Swiss top tier at GC Zurich. We'll continue to support him very closely on his journey."

Irankunda made 15 appearances for FC Bayern's reserves in the Regionalliga Bayern in the first half of the season. The 18-year-old scored four goals and provided four assists. In the UEFA Youth League, he played three times for the Munich U19s (one goal).
