Global Academy: Rückrunde starts with attacking power and social engagement

After a relaxing time with their families over the Christmas holidays, the FC Bayern Global Academy players returned to Munich on 1 February full of energy. However, there wasn't much time to settle in - the team faced a real test in the form of U17 Bundesliga side SSV Ulm right at the start of the second half of the season. The team showed great commitment in an intense match and secured an important 3-2 victory thanks to goals from John Georgas, Barthazar Ndayishimiye and Callum Chadwick.

Special project with the Münchner Tafel

In addition to the sporting successes, there were also special moments off the pitch. The entire team went karting together, which was great fun and created some unforgettable memories.

Another highlight was the social project on 15 March, in which the players supported the Münchner Tafel food bank. They helped to distribute food to those in need and thus contributed to the valuable work of the food bank. The direct contact with the children on site was particularly moving. In addition to helping with the food distribution, the players played football with the children, there was a lot of laughter and many unforgettable moments were shared. This project was a valuable experience and showed how important it is to take responsibility in society.

The visit to Münchner Tafel offered the players valuable insights into social responsibility and broadened their perspectives.

Unique Champions League experience

The Champions League matches against Bayer 04 Leverkusen and Celtic provided the Global Academy players with an unforgettable experience. The boys got the opportunity to hold the Champions League banner in the centre circle and experience the magical atmosphere of these big European games up close. An experience the young talents will certainly remember for a long time.
