FC Bayern’s first competitive opponents after the Club World Cup in the summer are confirmed! On 16 August 2025, the German champions will meet DFB Cup winners VfB Stuttgart in the Franz Beckenbauer Supercup. The Swabians beat Arminia Bielefeld 4-2 in the cup final in Berlin on Saturday evening.
Honour for ‘Kaiser’
The match between the Bundesliga champions and cup winners will be played under the name of the Franz Beckenbauer Supercup for the first time this year, in memory of the FC Bayern legend who died in January 2024. The German Football League (DFL) has not yet announced where the fixture will take place.
