The Class of ’25 had some special visitors at training on Sunday. Thanks to our partner Audi, 15 football-crazy children from a junior team in Manching were guests at Säbener Straße.
At the start, they got to witness first-hand how the World Squad prepared for the friendly against Rapid Wien U19 the next day in an intensive session. The kids then got the chance to show off their own football skills on the pitch, under the guidance of Roy Makaay and Diego Contento.
After a warm-up with the World Squad players, passing drills and a group game were on the agenda. The highlight was the penalty shootout at the end, where each child got a turn against the World Squad goalkeeper. A successful day of football was rounded off by lunch together.
Employees of Audi, the partner of the World Squad project, could apply for the training session with their youth teams.
A tour of the Audi production site in Ingolstadt also awaits the World Squad, before the Class of ’25 season already enters the home stretch. This Saturday, 26 July, sees the big match against the FC Bayern U19 side at 13:30 CEST. Spectators are welcome at the FC Bayern Campus, admission is free.
