FC Bayern launches PACK MA'S volunteer programme

It was a first meeting, a first exchange of ideas - it was an honour, as they say in Bavaria, in the truest sense of the word: FC Bayern has launched its new volunteering programme ‘PACK MA'S’ (LET'S DO THIS) with an exclusive kick-off event at the Campus. Almost 200 members from Munich and the region had already expressed their interest in becoming actively involved in the club via a member mailshot. At the first on-site networking meeting, the new format was brought to life and unveiled in detail to 70 members.

For a club like FC Bayern, "volunteering is an expression of a lively community and club culture", explained e.V. managing director Benny Folkmann: "When members actively get involved, it creates an even deeper bond and identification with the club - beyond the sporting experience." ‘PACK MA'S’ is about taking responsibility and helping to shape club life: "Those who lend a hand not only show their love for their club, but also become an active part of what makes it special." His deputy Kiki Hasenpusch added: "By helping to shape the club, 'Mia san Mia' becomes togetherness. Volunteering also brings diversity to club life. We want to work across generations and are also active in over 100 Munich schools."

During the event, representatives from the individual areas of the club outlined how you can get involved as a member of ‘PACK MA'S’. Whether at member events, in the ‘Red against Racism’ initiative, in the club's exercise promotion programme or in the sports departments such as handball, table tennis, bowling and basketball - the opportunities are many and varied. Afterwards, the members had the chance to get to know each other at individual stands, where they were able to chat with FCB staff and direct their specific interests towards the relevant contact partners and departments.

This was followed by a guided tour of the Campus, during which everyone listened patiently despite the rain and no question went unanswered. In the foyer, the members and FCB staff were able to chat again over snacks and drinks while enjoying the view of the Campus stadium pitch.
