This week, FC Bayern began pre-season training ahead of the new campaign. Prior to Saturday's friendly against Olympique Lyon, coach Vincent Kompany spoke about his current impressions of the squad. “It's an unusual pre-season – a short vacation, short preparation and then back to work. But we're up for it. We don't have much time. We want to be physically ready for the early games,’ Kompany observed. On new signing Luis Díaz, the FCB coach said: ‘He's full of positive energy. We've already seen his qualities and abilities in training. He'll help us.’
