Two days, one goal: to give children and adolescents a voice, an experience and a future in the FC Bayern world. That was the motto of the second Fan Club Kids Day and the event "Shaping the future – Youth manager forum" – building blocks for a strong fan club community of tomorrow. Markus Meindl, director of fans, was pleased: “For decades, our fans have organised themselves in fan clubs, where fan culture around FC Bayern is lived on a regional level. Together with the youth managers, we want to keep inspiring young Bayern fans to get involved in fan clubs by creating attractive conditions for children and adolescents.” The two events “showed how, together with the fan clubs, we succeed in winning over young fans to organise the exchange and coming together of Bayern fans in all their diversity.”

For many of the 50 young Bayern fans aged between six and 12, the Fan Club Kids Day was the first visit to the Allianz Arena – and proved to be an unforgettable experience. Two groups started the day with a child-friendly tour of the FC Bayern Museum and answered various questions about the history of the club. They were thrilled by the trophies, historic jerseys and stories of unique club legends. They formed new friendships and talked about their experiences during lunch, followed by another highlight: a tour of the stadium including the players’ tunnel, the dugout and the dressing room. They needed to show both accuracy and team spirit in a goal wall challenge. Mascot Berni patiently posed for selfies before the kids received small gifts as a farewell – and many great memories.

The next day, the Allianz Arena once again belonged to the next FCB generation – this time the fan club youth managers. 30 people from all over Germany came together for the Youth manager forum. The goal was to exchange ideas, network and cultivate their roles at their fan clubs. After a welcome by director Markus Meindl, a constructive part followed: questions and concerns from a survey were addressed, challenges were discussed and solutions were developed. The best-practice presentations by two fan clubs that are already excelling with creative activities were particularly inspiring: from visits to the stadium and handicrafts afternoons to football tournaments for kids. Small groups brainstormed at various stations on how fan experiences can be developed in cooperation with the next generation: how can they boost youth work? Which formats can be integrated into everyday life? They made new contacts and shared ideas. The meeting was rounded off with a presentation by the fan dialogue working group, which aims to focus even more on the interests of young fans in the future. Committed to the future: Once again, the focus was on the next generation – children and adolescents who carry FC Bayern in their hearts today so that they can shape and support the club tomorrow.
