A total of 18 FC Bayern players are currently out on loan at various clubs across Europe to gain match practice and further their individual development. In Loan Watch, fcbayern.com provides regular updates with a look at the progress and performance of selected loan players. João Palhinha, Alexander Nübel, Armindo Sieb, Arijon Ibrahimović and Maximilian Hennig were particularly impressive in the last week.
First assist for Palhinha

João Palhinha made his seventh start for Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League match against Aston Villa and, like the previous four games, played the duration. After just five minutes, he set up the opening goal for Rodrigo Bentancur with a precise header – his first assist for Spurs. Despite an impressive pass completion rate of 82 percent, the team from North London ended up losing 2-1. Palhinha and Tottenham travel to Monaco in the Champions League on Wednesday.
Nübel keeps another clean sheet

It was a very successful day’s work for Alexander Nübel. In VfB Stuttgart’s 3-0 win over VfL Wolfsburg, the goalkeeper not only celebrated a fourth win on the bounce but also a fourth successive clean sheet. The 29-year-old was called into action just three times and was up to the task every time. VfB are also in European action this week as they travel to Fenerbahçe in the Europa League on Thursday.
Super-sub Sieb on target

Armindo Sieb made his mark in a high-scoring Bundesliga encounter against Bayer Leverkusen. After coming on in the 86th minute, the 22-year-old forward needed just four minutes to get on the scoresheet. His accurate finish into the top right corner got Mainz back into the game at 4-3 but ultimately wasn’t enough to prevent defeat to the Werkself. The 05ers are involved in European competition this week, too, hosting Zrinjski Mostar from Bosnia and Herzegovina in the Conference League on Thursday.
90 minutes for Ibrahimović

Meanwhile, Arijon Ibrahimović played 90 minutes in a 1. FC Heidenheim shirt for the first time in the 2-2 draw against SV Werder Bremen last Saturday. The 19-year-old showed plenty of attacking intent, registering eight attempts and three shot assists. Next up for the club from Swabia is a trip to TSG Hoffenheim this weekend.
Another full 90 for Hennig

For the seventh time all in competitions this season, Maximilian Hennig played the full 90 minutes for TSV Hartberg. The 19-year-old managed to set up a shot on goal in the match against bottom-of-the-table Grazer AK but the league match ended goalless. Next weekend, the defender will travel with TSV to face SCR Altach, who are directly above them in the table.
