Bayern will play away at Union Berlin in the last 16 of the 2025/26 DFB Cup following Sunday’s draw at the German Football Museum in Dortmund.
It will be the first time that Bayern and Union meet in the DFB Cup. The two clubs have otherwise faced each other 12 times in the Bundesliga since the Berliners’ promotion in 2012, with FCB winning eight and drawing four. The draw also means that Vincent Kompany’s men will visit the Stadion an der Alten Försterei twice in the space of just over three weeks, given next Saturday’s league game in the capital on Matchday 10.
Games on 2/3 December
The round of 16 fixtures are scheduled for Tuesday 2 and Wednesday 3 December. The German FA will confirm the exact dates and times of all games in the coming days. This season’s final in Berlin is on 23 May 2026.
