FC Bayern Legends Cup at SAP Garden

The Beckenbauer Cup was a one-off spectacle at the sold-out SAP Garden earlier this year – now the next exclusive highlight for all fans is coming to the same place. The Legends Cup will take place on 18 January 2026, beginning at 15:00 CET (tickets here). Fan favourites from the German record champions such as Franck Ribéry and Arjen Robben will go up against all-star teams from the likes of Real Madrid, Juventus, Celtic and Eintracht Frankfurt for victory in this retro-style indoor tournament, which deliberately appeals to football nostalgics and is organised entirely in the style of earlier indoor tournaments. As well as the legendary wing duo of Ribéry and Robben, World Cup-winning captain Philipp Lahm has again agreed to be coach of the Bayern team. The Legends Cup will be broadcast live and exclusively by Magenta TV/Magenta Sport in Germany.

Lahm, coach of the FC Bayern Legends, said: “I’m really looking forward to guiding the FC Bayern Legends as coach at the Legends Cup. It’s always very special to see former team-mates and acquaintances again – it brings back lots of nice memories. The tournament brings together a lot of familiar faces from world football and offers a very special football experience. We want to delight the fans with joy of playing and team spirit – and in the end, of course, win the trophy like we did at the Beckenbauer Cup.”

The Beckenbauer Cup, which was held in March to mark the club’s 125th birthday and as a tribute to the late FCB icon, thrilled a total of 9,500 spectators. Captain Giovane Élber and his team claimed an emphatic 4-0 win in the final against a Real Madrid side featuring legends Iker Casillas and Pepe. The Munich men had seen off Borussia Dortmund in a thrilling semi-final encounter.
