
2025 was another important year for the FC Bayern Campus – with three Bundesliga debuts, spectacular matches for the German championship title and the third edition of the U15 Elite Cup. fcbayern.com looks back on the best moments of the last 12 months.
Pro debuts for Campus talents

Several FC Bayern Campus talents made their pro debuts in 2025. One of them stood out: Lennart Karl turned in impressive displays, and not only in the Bundesliga. The 17-year-old scored in three consecutive Champions League matches. Wisdom Mike too made his debut at a national (against Werder Bremen) and an international level (Club Brugge). The two youngsters extended their contracts with the German record chmapions at the beginning of August. Jonah Kusi-Asare made his Bundesliga debut when he came on on Matchday 31 of the 2024/25 season.
In Cassiano Kiala and David Santos, two further Campus talents made their debuts in the last Bundesliga match of the year against FC Heidenheim. At 16 years and 344 days, Kiala is FCB’s second-youngest Bundesliga debutant.
National team debut for Chávez, U21 premiere for Karl

A historic day for Felipe Chávez! After seven appearances for Peru’s youth teams, the 18-year-old midfielder made his debut for the senior side. He was subbed on in the 78th minute of the 2-1 defeat to Chile at Estadio Municipal de La Florida. Mike, Karl, Moritz Göttlicher and Raphael Pavlić too had special moments with the national team in 2025. The four Campus talents were eliminated in the group stage of the U17 Euros. Mike and Germany progressed to the round of 32 of the U17 World Cup before losing 1-0 to Burkina Faso. Karl was called up for the Germany U21s in November and delivered right away. The 17-year-old bagged a brace in his debut against Malta, a 6-0 victory, before scoring the opener in the 2-0 victory over Georgia.
Bitter semi-final defeat for U19s

After a flawless preliminary round and strong displays in the main round, the FC Bayern U19s advanced to the German championship semi-finals in 2024/25 but suffered a bitter defeat to Bayer Leverkusen (4-3 a.e.t.). Head coach Peter Gaydarov’s team had beaten VfL Wolfsburg 2-1 and Borussia Dortmund 4-2 thanks to braces by Karl and Chávez on their way to the last four. Bayern advanced to the UEFA Youth League round of 16 but were eliminated by Inter Milan on penalties in a thriller.
U17: Semi-finals the end of the road

The FCB U17s were eliminated in the German championship semi-finals, losing 3-1 to Borussia Mönchengladbach, who went on to win the title. Bayern had beaten Karlsruher SC 2-1 before coming from behind to beat Borussia Dortmund 3-1 in the quarter-finals. Leonhard Haas succeeded Patrick Kaniuth as head coach this summer. The German record champions won 12 of their 14 preliminary round matches (two defeats) to qualify for the main round this season.
Titles galore from U12s to U16s

The FC Bayern youth teams enjoyed a successful year: five teams from the U12s to the U16s won the title in their respective leagues in 2024/25. The U16s won the U17 Bayernliga before beating Eintracht Frankfurt 3-2 in the final of the South German championship. All teams impressed with attacking football, commitment and team spirit. The young talents’ consistency was particularly remarkable. Bayern remained focused and determined throughout the season, both at the Campus and on the road.
Europe’s young talents at the FC Bayern Campus – 2025 Elite Cup

The U15 Elite Cup at the FC Bayern Campus had everything that makes football fascinating – passion, excitement and emotions. Paris Saint-Germain beat FC Porto 3-0 in the final. Europe’s top youth teams showed fine technique, intensity and team spirit over three days – a real showcase for future pros. The FC Bayern U15s were committed and bold but narrowly missed out on the semi-finals. They lost 3-1 to Inter Milan in the quarter-finals but showed morale and beat Chelsea 4-2 before downing Galatasaray 3-0 in the game for fifth place. Coach Can Ünal praised his team’s development: “The lads showed they can deal with setbacks.” Franck Ribéry watched the games on site.
