Four days before the Champions League match at FC Bayern, Paris Saint-Germain were held to a 2-2 draw by FC Lorient in Ligue 1. Head coach Luis Enrique gave numerous first-team regular a breather. Ibrahim Mbaye (6’) handed Paris an early lead at Parc des Princes, with Lorient’s Pablo Pagis levelling the scores six minutes later. PSG’s Warren Zaïre-Emery (62’) made it 2-1, but Aiyegun Tosin (78’) scored another equaliser. Paris top the Ligue 1 table six points clear of RC Lens with three matchdays to go.
“I think we would have deserved to win. We created enough chances but hit the post twice. We have to accept that. It’s a shame because we needed the three points,” Enrique said after the final whistle.
