FC Bayern’s DFB Cup first-round match in Osnabrück scheduled

The kick-off time for the start of FC Bayern’s DFB Cup title defence has been confirmed. As the German FA announced on Wednesday, the Munich side’s opening match against Bundesliga 2 newcomers VfL Osnabrück will kick off on Wednesday evening, 2 September, at 20:45 CEST, wrapping up the first round of the competition.

On the previous day, Borussia Dortmund – who will face the double winners in the 2026 Franz Beckenbauer Supercup on Saturday 22 August (kick-off: 20:30 CEST) – will play their away game at Hamburg-Eimsbütteler Ballspiel Club. The remaining 30 first-round fixtures are scheduled to take place between 21 and 24 August (see overview).

• Second round: 27 and 28 October 2026
• Round of 16: 1 and 2 December 2026
• Quarter-finals: 2/3 and 9/10 February 2027
• Semi-finals: 20 and 21 April 2027
• Final: 29 May 2027 at the Olympiastadion in Berlin
