Seungmin, please introduce yourself briefly.
“Hello, my name is Han Seungmin, I’m a midfielder in the second year of Jeonbuk Hyundai’s U18s.”
What made you apply for the FC Bayern World Squad and what does it mean to you to be part of the Class of ’26?
“I applied for the FC Bayern World Squad because I want to compete with players at a higher level, test my skills and improve. Taking part is a valuable chance to see my potential. Based on this experience, I’d like to take the next step and tackle greater challenges.”
Can you give us a brief recap of your first few days with the FC Bayern World Squad in Jeju?
“At first I tried to communicate a lot with players from different countries and make friends with them because we met for the first time. I focused on adapting to the team and settling in as soon as possible. It was a bit unfamiliar at the beginning, I had to settle in, but it got easier over time. I feel I’m gaining great experiences and nice memories here.”
You and some other players joined the team a little later. How did they welcome you, and was it hard to settle into the team?
“The players who had been there before gave me a warm welcome and made it very easy for me. I quickly overcame my nerves and didn’t have major difficulties in settling in.”
You’ve kicked off this year’s campaign with your first match. Can you give us a brief summary of the match and tell us how it felt to wear the FC Bayern jersey?
“At first it felt surreal to play in an FC Bayern jersey, but once I wore it and was on the pitch, I was excited and very proud. I think it made me play with even more responsibility and give it my absolute best.”

You’ve been in Seoul since Monday. Have you been here before? If so, is there anything you’d recommend in particular?
“I haven’t been to Seoul so often, but if there’s a place you absolutely have to see, I’d recommend Hangang Park.”
Your next opponents are FC Seoul. Have you faced them as a Jeonbuk Hyundai player?
“I’ve played against FC Seoul. Their tactics are strong and they’re very well organised, so I think we have to prepare very well.”
Looking at the upcoming weeks with the FC Bayern World Squad, what are you looking forward to the most?
“The match against the FC Bayern U19s is what I’m looking forward to the most. Not only is it our last match, it’s also a great opportunity to grow. To compete against the U19s of a world-class club and feel this experience on the pitch will be extemely valuable for my development.”
The first few days with the FC Bayern World Squad have already given Seungmin many new insights and valuable experiences. After quickly settling into the team, he’s focusing on the upcoming weeks. He wants to improve as a player and make the most of this special time.
