Sporting director Christoph Freund ahead of Rottach-Egern friendly: 'The intensity has been very good'
Ahead of FC Bayern’s friendly at FC Rottach-Egern, which marks the end of the training camp at Tegernsee, sporting director Christoph Freund spoke about the preparations for the new season in an interview with FC Bayern TV PLUS. “Various players have come back, so we’ve been able to train with a bigger group again for the first time,” said the 47-year-old. “The intensity has been very good. You can see everyone’s having fun. The weather and the conditions help with that. We’ve felt very well looked after and have been able to start working on some sporting aspects.” The past few days at the training camp “show FC Bayern’s connection to the region, to Bavaria and to the fans,” he added. “When you see what’s been going on here in the last few days, it was wonderful. We’ve had a full house every day and now the match, very close to the fans. It’s been a nice week.”
