It was with great sadness that FC Bayern learned the passing of its honorary member Hans Gürster at the age of 94. He was listed as the German record champions’ member number 10.

That he was listed as member number 10 says everything: loyal members like him are what make FC Bayern special.”
Hans Gürster was a key member of the FC Bayern handball team, runners-up in the South German championship and fifth in the German championship in 1955. Gürster organised the defence and later coordinated and got things done off the court. He was TSV Unterhaching president from 1968 to 1979 and always remained true to his passion for handball.
