Around four hours after landing in Korea, head coach Vincent Kompany called the FC Bayern players together for their first training session of this year’s Audi Summer Tour on Sunday afternoon, local time. The club’s Korean Red&Gold partner, Jeju SK FC, opened their training facilty for the coaching staff to put the team through their paces straight away with a session lasting just under 90 minutes. The main aim was to help the squad acclimatise as soon as possible after their journey.
The Bayern touring party spent eleven and a half hours on the flight from Munich to Jeju. With summer temperatures exceeding 30 degrees Celsius, the players headed first to their team hotel upon arrival and then out onto the training pitch for the first time. There, Joshua Kimmich, Nathaniel Brown and their teammates completed running and mobility exercises, as well as training drills and shooting practice.
