

FC Bayern has launched a football academy in Dubai through licensee GoldPrime FZCO, to promote talented youngsters in the United Arab Emirates. The ‘FC Bayern Academy UAE’ is located at the Amity University Dubai in Academic City and offers programmes for boys and girls from age groups Under-5 to Under-16.

Jochen Sauer, director of youth development: “We are delighted that we as FC Bayern have become the first Bundesliga club to enter into an academy partnership of this kind in the Middle East. Football is becoming more and more popular in the United Arab Emirates, especially among children and young people. We want to support talent development with our expertise and further increase the enthusiasm for football in the country.”
One coach appointed by FC Bayern is based at the academy all year round as director of coaching to oversee the academy’s coaching staff. Particulaly talented youngsters can also get access to the FC Bayern Pathway via the academy and qualify for international development programmes such as the FC Bayern Global Academy at the FC Bayern Campus.
