FC Bayern supporting Climate Week again

In October 2026, FC Bayern, together with its partners such as Allianz, will once again be raising awareness and promoting responsibility in relation to the climate and resources in a number of ways. To mark Bavarian Climate Week as well as the first Munich Climate Week, several activities and events are planned at the Allianz Arena and BMW Park, the FC Bayern Basketball stadium.

Rouven Kasper, board member for marketing & sales at FC Bayern: “FC Bayern does not just want to send out visible messages for Bavarian Climate Week and Munich Climate Week: together with our partners, we want to educate about climate and sustainability issues, encourage conversation and present practical everyday actions that can have an effect beyond the campaign period.”

FC Bayern and Allianz Arena München Stadion GmbH have been members of the Bavarian Climate Alliance since 2015 and are committed to the climate protection objectives of the Bavarian state government, thereby also strengthening the partnership between the state and civil society. For the start of this year’s Bavarian Climate Week, the Allianz Arena will again be lit up in honour of the week-long campaign, sending out a visible signal for dialogue around climate issues in society. Bavarian Climate Week takes place from 9 to 18 October.

That’s followed by the first-ever Munich Climate Week from 19 to 25 October. FC Bayern is a strategic partner of the new event and is taking part with several joint activations and events. For example, the German champions, together with UnternehmerTUM and MakerSpace, are hosting a ‘wear it longer’ workshop, where selected participants will design and apply printing to a limited-edition range of T-shirts made from GOTS-certified fabrics. As well as the design, the focus is on the responsible use of sportswear.

From 22 to 24 October, the Allianz Arena will again be illuminated in the colours of the climate stripes. Nine ‘sustainability tours’ have been organised with Allianz, where the fascination for FC Bayern and its Allianz Arena will be tied in with specific sustainability themes.

FC Bayern Basketball will round off the two Climate Weeks on 25 October. Like last year, the floor of BMW Park will be lit up in the climate stripes, while Bavarian State Minister for Environmental and Consumer Protection Affairs, Thorsten Glauber, has also confirmed his attendance.
