Bayern have brought down the curtain on their Trentino summer training camp with a second victory in the second friendly match of the week. Jupp Heynckes’ men beat the Qatar national team 4-2 in Arco early on Saturday evening, and will now return to Munich from picturesque Riva del Garda in a thoroughly satisfied frame of mind.
A crowd of around 4,000 braved scorching temperatures of over 35 degrees Celsius to watch Daniel van Buyten (7th minute), Thomas Müller (34), Nils Petersen (57) and Ivica Olic (83) score the goals for the Bundesliga giants, with Andres Sebastian Quintana (67) and Muhammed Razark (85) replying for Qatar.
Three days after a 15-0 victory in a relaxed friendly meeting with a Trentino Regional XI, Heynckes made three changes to his starting line-up. Bastian Schweinsteiger was rested with a minor injury, with Anatoliy Tymoshchuk and David Alaba also beginning the match on the bench. The trio were replaced by Luiz Gustavo, Franck Ribéry and Thomas Müller.
