Bayern’s second warm-up match of pre-season has delivered a second victory, as FCB, without newly-unveiled Mario Mandzukic and the other Euro 2012 players, defeated FC Ismaning by a comfortable 4-0 margin. The goals against the fourth-tier side came from U-19 talents Oliver Markoutz (9), Kevin Friesenbichler (71) and Benno Schmitz (90), with star signing Xherdan Shaqiri also chipping in his first goal in Bayern colours with four minutes to play.
“It was a very decent display,” boss Jupp Heynckes summarised after the friendly encounter in front of a 2,000 capacity crowd at Ismaninger Stadion on Lindenstrasse in Munich. “We’ve trained continuously in recent days and worked hard for the victory tonight,” Heynckes continued.
