Bayern coped admirably with the sultry heat on Tuesday evening in Beijing, winning the Yingli Cup 2012 by a comfortable 6-0 margin against Beijing Guoan. In a promising and lively display, the goals for the men from Munich came from an own goal (7), Arjen Robben (10), Claudio Pizarro (43), Thomas Müller (74), Mario Mandzukic (78) and Mario Gomez (80). It was a real treat for FCB’s Chinese fans as the men in red cruised to their fourth pre-season victory.
Faced with the side currently lying fifth in the Chinese Super League, FCB boss Jupp Heynckes fielded a star-studded starting line-up, with Germany keeper Manuel Neuer in goal, behind a defence comprising Jérôme Boateng, Daniel van Buyten, summer signing Dante and Diego Contento. Anatoliy Tymoshchuk and Toni Kroos played in central midfield, with Arjen Robben, Xherdan Shaqiri and Franck Ribéry looking to supply striker Claudio Pizarro.
