Bayern maintained their perfect record in mid-season warm-up matches with a 2-0 victory away to third division Unterhaching on Sunday night. A day after a full-strength line-up beat FC Basel 3-0 away from home, a much-reshuffled side beat the club from the Munich suburbs courtesy of an early goal from Claudio Pizarro and a Mario Gomez effort midway through the second period.
The starting line-up for the clash at Unterhaching Sportpark showed the full eleven changes compared to the previous day in Switzerland. A tricky surface made accurate passing difficult, but the Bundesliga leaders still created a string of presentable chances before the interval. Pizarro converted one of these to hand his side an 11th-minute lead: Arjen Robben sent over a precise cross from the right flank with his right boot, with Pizarro on hand to flick a header across the home keeper and in at the far corner.
