FC Bayern beat amateur side Rottach-Egern 15-0 in their second pre-season friendly on Thursday. Filip Pavić, Arijon Ibrahimović and a Felipe Chavéz brace handed Bayern a comfortable lead in the first quarter of an hour, with Ibrahimović and Maycon Cardozo rounding off the half-dozen shortly before half-time. In contrast to the friendly against Wehen Wiesbaden, where teenagers took to the field, Thursday’s XI featured three senior pros in Sven Ulreich, Minjae Kim and Tom Bischof. More came on in the second half as the Reds netted nine more times.
Bayern hit the ground running
Pavić headed home from a corner to hand Bayern the lead after seven minutes. The goal opened the floodgates and Ibrahimović doubled the lead before Chávez bagged a brace.
Munich shifted down through the gears in temperatures of almost 40 degrees, but they were always dominant. Vincekt Kompany’s side upped the ante again towards the end of the first half and Ibrahimović’s powerful drive found the net before Cardozo made it six.
More of the same
The pattern remained much the same after half-time, with Cardozo finding the net and Armindo Sieb making it eight before new signing Nathaniel Brown made his first appearance in FCB colours.
João Palhinha, Bara Ndayie, Bastian Assomo, Aleksandar Pavlović, Joshua Kimmich and young talent Skender Nuraj all scored for Bayern to round off the goalfest.
The Bavarians will be back in action on Tuesday when they face Jeju SK on the Audi Summer Tour before taking on Europa League winners Aston Villa. Both matches will be broadcast live on FC Bayern TV Plus.
