50 goals! Lewandowski's record-breaking year

Robert Lewandowski has scored 50 goals in a calendar year for the first time. fcbayern.com looks back at some of them.

freiburg_get_200117 — Goal number 2, 20 January 2017: The year kicked off with a trip to Freiburg where Bayern won 2-1 thanks to a brace from Lewandowski. The winner in stoppage-time was the pick of the goals, with Lewy controlling the ball with his chest, bringing it down with his right foot and firing it in with his left.

arsenal_ima_150217 — Goal number 4, 15 February 2017: In the 5-1 win against Arsenal, Lewandowski scored his first of five headed goals this year.

augsburg_ima_010417 — Goal number 15, 1 April 2017: Back of the net! This volley was the first of Lewandowski's three strikes in the 6-0 win against Augsburg. In total he scored five goals in 2017 against FCA, his favourite opponents.

dortmund_get_080417-1 — Goal number 18, 8 April 2017: Lewandowski is pretty handy at free-kicks too. He's scored four of them so far in 2017, including this one during the 4-1 victory over Borussia Dortmund.

madrid_get_170417 — Goal number 20, 18 April 2017: This goal - one of five in the Champions League in 2017 - gave Bayern hope. Unfortunately, after going 1-0 up at the Bernabéu, they went on to lose 4-2 (after extra-time) to Real Madrid in the UCL semi-finals.

32-leipzig_ima_130517 — Goal number 23, 13 May 2017: Lewandowski was successful from the penalty spot again during the 5-4 thriller at Leipzig. This opening goal was one of 12 penalties Lewandowski has converted so far this year.

chemnitz_ima_120817 — Goal number 29, 12 August 2017: Perfect precision! Lewandowski's free-kick gave Bayern the lead in their DFB Cup first round tie at Chemnitz (final score 5-0). Lewy has scored four goals in the cup so far in 2017.

38-bremen_ima_260817 — Goal number 32, 26 August 2017: With a flick of the heel Lewy gave Bayern the lead against Werder Bremen. He scored the game's only other goal - one of ten braces in 2017.

polen_ima_051017 — Goal number 42, 5 October 2017: Lewandowski hammers home a free-kick inside the penalty area to make it 2-0 to Poland during their 6-1 win in Armenia. He scored one of his four hat-tricks of the year in this game and this free-kick made him Poland's record goalscorer with 51 goals.

50-anderlecht_ima_221117 — Goal number 50, 22 November 2017: Lewandowski effortlessly put Bayern on their way to a 2-1 win over Anderlecht with his fifth UCL goal of the year. 33 of his goals have come in the Bundesliga, seven for his national team, four in the DFB Cup and one in the Supercup, making a total of 50 goals!
