Captain Benno Schmitz is one of the more experienced players in the reserves. The 31-year-old defender was born on 17 November 1994 and came through the Bayern youth system, first playing in the reserves in 2014. Anton Heinz has enjoyed an eye-catching debut campaign with the reserves in 2025/26, scoring 14 goals and providing three assists to lead both the team’s and Regionalliga Bayern’s scoring chart. Richard Meier was forced to miss the opening games of the season with a knee injury following his summer arrival from Sandhausen. Magnus Dalpiaz has been with Bayern since 2019 and has made 17 appearances so far this season.
