Hasan Salihamidžić has been board member for sport of the FC Bayern München AG since 1 July 2020. Previously, the former Bayern player worked as the club's sporting director for three years.
Salihamidžić was born on 1 January 1977 in Jablanica, Bosnia and Herzegovina. As a player, he won everything there was to win in domestic and European club football with FC Bayern: Six Bundesliga titles, the DFB Cup and the League Cup four times each, and in 2001 also the Champions League and the Club World Cup.
Between July 1998 and June 2007, he played a total of 365 games for FC Bayern and scored 46 goals. In his home country, Salihamidžić was voted "Footballer of the Year" four times. He made 42 international appearances for Bosnia and Herzegovina. Following his time at FC Bayern, he had spells at Juventus and VfL Wolfsburg.
In 2012, Salihamidžić ended his playing career and built up a medium-sized company with a partner. In 2016, he became the FC Bayern brand ambassador. As board member for sport, Salihamidžić is now responsible for the senior men's team, the FC Bayern Campus including the FC Bayern Women's Bundesliga team, all coaches and the associated backroom staff and departments.
