Matthijs de Ligt joined FC Bayern in the summer of 2022. The central defender was born in the Netherlands and started his professional career in Amsterdam with Ajax. He led his team to the league and cup double as the youngest captain in the club's history (2019). For the next season, he moved to Italian record champions Juventus. In Turin, he celebrated one championship, one domestic cup triumph and one Supercup victory.
