Michael Olise has been an FC Bayern player since July 2024. The France youth international was born in London and mostly plays on the right wing. He spent time in the academies of Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester City and Reading, before making his senior debut with the latter in the English Championship. Good displays at that level saw him move up to the Premier League with Crystal Palace in summer 2021. Olise became a regular at Selhurst Park before his summer 2024 move to Munich.
Olise is predominantly used on the right side of attack for Bayern but can also play centrally behind the striker. With his skilful dribbling and outstanding qualities as a provider, the attacker immediately became a linchpin of the Munich side. He was crowned Player of the Season by Bayern fans in both his debut 2024/25 season and the following year. In 2025/26, he also claimed the title of Bundesliga Player of the Season.
Olympic silver with France
The winger represented France at U18 and U21 level. He was then included in the hosts’ squad for the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris, where the French team won the silver medal. Olise was a key player for Les Bleus at World Cup 2026, equalling the record for a single tournament with seven assists as France reached the semi-finals. He was named in the FIFA Dream XI for the tournament.
