Raphaël Guerreiro joined FC Bayern from Borussia Dortmund on a free transfer in the summer of 2023. In his seven years with the Black and Yellows, the versatile left-footed player made 224 competitive appearances (40 goals) and won the DFB Cup twice (2017 and 2021). However, the Portugal international has his footballing roots in France: After spells at his hometown club Blanc-Mesnil SF, the national performance centre of the French football association INF Clairefontaine, as well as SM Caen, he made his Ligue 1 debut for FC Lorient in the summer of 2013.

European champion with Portugal

However, Guerreiro later opted to play for his father's home country and made his first appearance for Portugal in November 2014. He was European champion with the Iberians in France in 2016 and three years later won the UEFA Nations League title with them.
