Fans pack Providence Park to watch Bayern train

Providence Park was abuzz on Tuesday morning. No, there was no Portland TImbers game happening this time or a roaring Timbers Army. Instead, it was a public training session held by FC Bayern Munich. Fans from all over the country and even as far as Canada packed the stadium to see Pep Guardiola's team practice in the scorching Portland sun.

With a little over 24 hours to go until the big MLS All-Star Game, the team really turned it up a gear with intense conditioning drills and passing exercises, all in front of the large Bayern faithful who cheered the players on from start to finish. The training was concluded with a collective autograph session for the fans to see out a truly productive and intimate morning.

Fun in the Sun

Of course, wherever Bayern appears, Berni the Mascot is not too far behind. While the players were busy running drills, Berni was entertaining the crowd in his usual radiant and animated manner.
