For the third time, FC Bayern Munich invited a total of 20 coaches and six youth players from North American youth partner Global Premier Soccer (GPS) to Munich.
Lessons take place at the new FC Bayern Campus for the first time
The coaches spent most of their time at the newly-opened FC Bayern Campus passing several technical courses, conducted by Sebastian Dremmler, Head Coach International Programs. Additionally, the GPS coaches received further education by Bianca Rech, Team Manager Women's Soccer and Uwe Gospodarek, Youth Goalkeeping Coach.
Following the daily lessons the participants watched several training sessions and youth matches at FC Bayern Campus. On Saturday, the US guests were invited to watch the match FC Bayern vs. FC Augsburg.
FC Bayern ID program another success
In addition to the coaches, FC Bayern also invited six players from GPS, who qualified for a trial session in Munich by passing the FC Bayern ID Program.
In particular, 15-year old GPS player Aki Yuasa gained a lot of attention by being the first player ever that age allowed to join the professional training sessions of the Women I and Women II teams.
The trip was rounded off with a meet & greet with FC Bayern head coach Jupp Heynckes at Säbener Street. Find out more about GPS and our youth partnership here.
