What a Champions League campaign it has been so far! Bayern have won all six of their group games – and in impressive style. With 24 goals scored and just five conceded, the German record champions have also achieved the best group stage performance in the history of Europe's premier club competition.

'It's fantastic'

"That's historic for us," commented Manuel Neuer. "We don't just want to break records – above all, we want to win the games. The fact it's worked out so well in the group stage and that we've beaten every team home and away is obviously fantastic."

Six wins and 24:5 goal difference: the best-ever performance from a team in the Champions League group stage.

After excellent performances in the previous five games, Bayern had already secured top spot in Group B going into the final match against Tottenham, but it was clear that the Reds wanted to finish with a win.

What's more, FCB's tackle success rate of 64% was their best since the 3-2 win over Chelsea in the quarter-finals in April 2005 (67%). 70% possession and 24-7 for shots on goal illustrate Bayern's dominance in Wednesday's match. They now take that momentum into the round of 16, the draw for which will be made on Monday.
