Gather knowledge for league opener

When the friendly between these two giants of German football was agreed, it was not yet known that Bayern and Borussia Mönchengladbach would also be meeting on the opening day of the new Bundesliga season. Nagelsmann can therefore use the match to gather knowledge on the opposition. And of course, the 34-year-old is looking for his first win as Bayern coach. After the defeat against Köln, a young Bayern side put in an improved performance against Ajax to earn a draw.

It will be Julian Nagelsmann's second match as Bayern coach at the Allianz Arena.

Therefore several youngsters will get another chance to impress on Wednesday.
