Bayern lose 85:89

Fought really hard: FC Bayern Basketball couldn't defeat the third-placed favorites and Final Four participant AS Monaco away, but at 85:89 (30:52), Pablo Laso's men performed excellently after the break. However, their furious comeback, despite scoring 55 points in the second half, didn't quite succeed. With 13 wins, the BBL table topper finishes the EuroLeague in 15th place.

Ibaka rested, Obst at home

The last round match exemplified the Bayern season once again, with their incomplete team facing off against a princely ensemble - against which the Munich team showed great morale and fighting spirit after the break, but still lost narrowly.

Ibaka traveled to the Côte d'Azur but rested due to his minor wrist injury from Sunday and with an eye on the BBL top match on Sunday in Würzburg. In return, Booker made his comeback after three weeks.

Comeback to 82:84

The defense was additionally challenged with this lineup against the many celebrity individualists like MVP candidate James, NBA champ Loyd, Okobo, or Diallo (20). The first timeout was necessary after seven minutes, but after the 12:12 (5th minute), only one basket was scored until the end of the quarter - 14:29.

Edwards with 26 points

Monaco was in the mood to play, Bayern hit little, 18:36 (14th minute) and 22:45 (18th minute), it didn't look good. So what? The guests showed their qualities after halftime and impressed: only 71:75 (35th minute), after shortly after the restart it was still 30:54.

Top scorer Edwards (26) with strong percentages, Francisco (17), Lucic (13), and Bonga (11) led the astonishing comeback; it went up to 79:81 (39th minute) and 82:84 in the last minute - and once again narrowly didn't suffice.

The Voices

Pablo Laso: "In the first half, we couldn't hit anything and turned the ball over too often. They are a very good team and took advantage of that. In the second half, we improved. We had open shots, turned the ball over less, and got back into the game. In the end, there were a few wrong decisions, and we couldn't finish the game as desired. But congratulations to Monaco and good luck for the playoffs."
