We can now welcome 5,750 fans!

549 days after the last appearance with a magnificent crowd in the Audi Dome, the EuroLeague duel with Baskonia Vítoria at the beginning of March 2020, FC Bayern's basketball players are delighted to welcome their fans home. With the 14th Bayern Infection Protection Ordinance coming into force, 5,750 spectators will be permitted with immediate effect at the home games of the German Cup winners in the BBL and the top division. This almost 90-percent capacity will involve compliance with 3G rules and the wearing of medical masks.

The Bayern basketball team is already implementing the new guidelines for the preseason highlight "MagentaSport Cup 2021" on September 11/12. The BBL season will then start for the FCBB on Sunday, September 26 (18:00), with the southern rivalry game against Ulm. The first home game in the EuroLeague is the visit of title favorite FC Barcelona (October 7, 20:30). Four days earlier, the Audi Dome will host the Cup clash of the round of 16 against Bamberg (Oct. 3, 20:30).

Admission to the hall at the Munich Westpark will be by the proven 3G rule (proof please in digital form), i.e. vaccinated, recovered or tested (PCR test/48 hours validity, antigen test/24 hours).

Dear basketball fans, Honestly, when I formulate these greeting lines, goose bumps rise - just thinking about what we can now actually all soon experience again: a filled Audi Dome and the incomparable atmosphere in our hall thanks to your support! Almost a year and a half we have waited for this. An eternity. From now on, the new infection control regulation makes it possible for us to welcome up to 5,750 fans. This is great news especially for our team, which had to do without you for most of last season. The prerequisite for this almost 90 percent occupancy of our hall will be that our audience wears protective medical masks and shows loyalty to the tried and tested 3G rule. This is a compromise we are happy to make in light of the Corona pandemic that has not yet been dealt with. So that we can have as many of you as possible behind us as support. And so that despite all the euphoria we take into account the circumstances. In return, the free choice of seats and hopefully the comeback of great emotions in the stands and with our team will be a nice compensation, long desired. Our office will do everything with a high sense of responsibility to make your return to the hall as pleasant as possible. In any case, we would like to fight next season with our newly formed team not only again for victories - but above all for the close connection to our audience, for which we ultimately play. We would be very happy to see as many of you as possible again soon. Personally, I can hardly wait. best regards from the Audi Dome, Marko Pesic

3G rules and medical masks for free place selection

The preventive wearing of protective masks - in future, the more comfortable, medical surgical mask will be the standard in the state of Bayern - means that distance rules no longer apply, thus allowing the Audi Dome to be generously filled. In general, there are no restrictions on seating for groups or individual visitors.

FC Bayern Basketball would like to thank the responsible authorities and committees for their always reliable cooperation in times of the Corona pandemic and we are already looking forward to the great atmosphere in the Audi Dome.
