Bayern Munich's skittles section came into being in 1984 from SKC Real-Isaria. The section currently comprises 47 members, who field four teams in competition. The sport of skittles is very different from informal recreational skittles, and demands the utmost concentration and physical fitness. The highest competitive level in which Bayern currently take part is the district league. Matches are held at the MKV skittles hall on Säbener Straße.
