Bayern beat Stuttgart to win Bundesliga title!

FC Bayern are the 2025/26 Bundesliga champions after beating VfB Stuttgart 4-2 at the Allianz Arena on Matchday 30. Chris Führich handed Stuttgart the lead after 20 minutes, but Munich responded in style and turned things around with goals from Raphaël Guerreiro, Nicolas Jackson and Alphonso Davies in the space of six minutes before half-time. Harry Kane put the game to bed shortly after half-time, with Chema Andrés netting for Stuttgart in the closing stages.

Bayern started with Jonas Urbig in goal and Josip Stanišić, Minjae Kim, Hiroki Ito and Davies in defence. Joshua Kimmich and Leon Goretzka anchored a midfield featuring Guerreiro, Jamal Musiala and Luis Díaz, with Jackson up front. Kane and Michael Olise took over from Musiala and Díaz at half-time, with Konrad Laimer, Bara Ndiaye and Deniz Ofli coming on for Davies, Guerreiro and Stanišić in the second half.

Comfortable half-time lead

Kim saw a header saved and Bilal El Khannouss drew a comfortable save from Urbig in the opening stages. A Goretzka shot was blocked before Stuttgart took the first chance of the game, El Khannouss’ pass finding Führich to slot in. Bayern saw a number of shots blocked but levelled the scores when Musiala wriggled his way through the box and squared for Guerreiro to tap home.

Bayern completed the turnaround two minutes later, with Guerreiro intercepting a pass and releasing Díaz, whose square invited Jackson to fire in. Munich made it three when Díaz laid off to Davies, who scored his first goal this campaign with the help of a deflection. Musiala and Díaz fired wide as Bayern were 3-1 up at half-time.

Kane seals it title

Bayern added gloss to the scoreline when Goretzka saw an effort parried but Kane was on hand to mop up. VfB goalkeeper Alexander Nübel denied Goretzka and a Kimmich shot went inches wide as Kompany’s men continued to push for more.

Olise put a shot wide before Urbig made a fine save to deny El Khannouss. Olise soon beat Nübel, only to see his shot cleared away from the top left corner by Maximilian Mittelstädt on the line. The game ebbed for a spell before Atakan Karazor’s header teed up Chema to beat Urbig.

The victory takes Bayern onto 79 points from 30 matches, 15 clear of Borussia Dortmund, meaning the German record champions can no longer be toppled from their perch with four matches to go. Bayern will be back in action on Wednesday when they travel to face Bayer Leverkusen in the DFB Cup semi-finals.
