After opening their Bundesliga campaign with two draws, Bayern go into Sunday's third league fixture determined to register a first win of term. "We want all three points, then we'll be up and running," announced Jürgen Klinsmann ahead of the home meeting with Hertha BSC Berlin. "I reckon we'll collect the first three-pointer of the season," said Bastian Schweinsteiger.
The champions certainly envisaged a better start to the campaign than a 2-2 draw with Hamburger SV and a 1-1 stalemate against Borussia Dortmund, but FCB are determined to change all that on Sunday. "We're slowly getting up to speed. Now it's high time we won," said Schweinsteiger. Philipp Lahm is "utterly convinced" that Sunday will bring Klinsmann's first league win as Bayern coach.
The champions' optimism is based on two factors. "We've completed another full and intensive week of training. We getting into the groove, and our summer latecomers are nearly there," commented Klinsmann. Schweinsteiger, Toni and Co. are increasingly close to their full potential.
