A run of six games without defeat and four wins in a row means Bayern are back in business. “We’re increasingly finding our rhythm. We want to go top, and every win takes us closer,” commented coach Jürgen Klinsmann after watching his team climb to fourth in the Bundesliga thanks to Wednesday evening’s 2-1 success away to Eintracht Frankfurt. “Bayern are back,” agreed Premiere TV studio expert Stefan Effenberg.
As in the weekend meeting with VfL Wolfsburg, FCB fell behind against Frankfurt before Franck Ribéry and Co battled back for a deserved victory. A second such fightback in the space of four days speaks volumes for the players’ mental strength. “Against Wolfsburg and again yesterday, the team radiated belief and the will to win,” commented general manager Uli Hoeneß, “coming from behind like that doesn’t happen automatically.“
