FC Bayern's impressive display away to Arsenal on Tuesday evening yielded lots of interesting facts and stats. has delved into the figures following the 5-1 victory in the Champions League last sixteen return leg.

2 – Arturo Vidal scored his first brace for FC Bayern.

3 – Bayern have won all three of their last meetings with Arsenal by 5-1 scorelines!

6 – FC Bayern have made it to the CL quarter-finals for the sixth time in a row, setting a new club record! Overall the men from Munich have booked a berth in the last eight for the 16th time. No other team has achieved this feat as often!

7 – Bayern have scored at least five goals for the seventh time in a Champions League knockout round, topping the rankings ahead of FC Barcelona on four times!

11 – Carlo Ancelotti has advanced to the Champions League quarter-finals for the 11th time. Only Sir Alex Ferguson achieved this more often, 12 times.

18 – Bayern have scored in their 18th competitive fixture on the trot, and they failed to find the net more than once only five times! Overall Carlo Ancelotti's troops have scored 46 goals in those 18 matches, an average of 2.6 per game.

22 – Robert Lewandowski scored his 22nd CL goal in Bayern colours, catching up with Giovane Elber. Only Mario Gomez, Arjen Robben (both on 23) and Thomas Müller (39) have netted more often in the competition.

24 – Bayern boast the most effective attacking unit in this season's Champions League campaign, netting 24 times

32 – Lewandowski played his 32nd European match for FC Bayern, catching up with Roy Makaay. Lewy found the net 22 times, whereas Makaay scored 17 goals.

55 – Xabi Alonso made his 55th appearance in a CL knockout tie, equal with Lionel Messi, Only four players boast more: Cristiano Ronaldo (63), Andres Iniesta (57), Xavi and Iker Casillas (both 56).

70 – Manuel Neuer made his 70th European appearance in Bayern colours, catching up with chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge.

100 – Franck Ribéry made his 100th European appearance, contesting 84 of them for FC Bayern. The Frenchman has surpassed Bernd Dürnberger (83) and is now eighth in Bayern's all-time rankings.

126 – Arjen Robben scored his 126th competitive goal for FC Bayern, overtaking Claudio Pizarro. The Dutchman is now second only to Giovane Elber (140 goals) in the club's all-time non-German scorer rankings.
