Whenever James Rodríguez thinks back to March 2019, he'll surely instantly remember his hat trick in the 6-0 win over FSV Mainz 05. It was his first hat trick in a European professional league and as a souvenir he even took the match ball home with him. In addition, he scored a goal in the 5-1 victory in Mönchengladbach and the 27-year-old also got onto the scoresheet in the 6-0 win over Wolfsburg.
This delighted the FC Bayern fans, who voted the record champions' number eleven their Player of the Month for March. The attacking midfielder received more than half of all votes cast (51%), leaving Serge Gnabry (29%) and Robert Lewandowski (5%) in second and third place respectively.
Three Bayern fans can also celebrate
In addition to the the left-footed James, three Bayern fans who cast their votes in the ballot also have good reason to celebrate, and each will take delivery of a shirt signed by the monthly winner.
